Call for Papers

Volume XVII of The Montana Professor will be devoted entirely to the general topic of academic responsibility. That volume will be guest-edited by President Geoff Gamble of Montana State University and President George Dennison of The University of Montana. The editors seek articles on any aspect of academic responsibility in all areas where issues of academic responsibility may arise. We seek lengthy articles of a theoretical sort, articles on particular issues treated from a concrete perspective, and case studies and other accounts of actual experiences with issues of academic responsibility. Reviews of books on some aspect of academic responsibility are also sought.

For purposes of these special editions of the journal we view academic responsibility as arising in administration, including administration at the highest levels, in faculty research, teaching or service, and among an institution's students.

Articles should be submitted to the Editor through the usual process. See the journal's back page for guidelines. Book reviews should be submitted to Paul Trout, Book Review Editor.

Proposals and suggestions for articles may be sent to the Editor, or a campus TMP Board member. They will then be passed on to the guest editors for their consideration. Proposals or suggestions for book reviews may be conveyed to Paul Trout.
